Ellen came to Colonial in 2006 with considerable expertise in liability and casualty claims adjustment, and extensive experience with litigation and mediation. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Ellen began her insurance adjusting career in 1993 with a national insurance company handling large accounts. She has continued her career with two regional companies, specializing in large auto liability and casualty claims, including products liability, serious bodily injury, premises liability, and contractor liability. She is a Certified Master Arbitrator for Arbitration Forums.
Ellen earned her Associate in Claims designation in 1996, and her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters designation in 2004. She continues her education by attending numerous seminars and is currently Secretary of the Southern Maine Claims Association.
Ellen is a member of Colonial’s Leadership Team and Quality Control Management Team for the casualty area. She is licensed in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
She resides in Falmouth with her husband and two children. They enjoy skiing in the winter months, and camping in the summer months. Ellen and her daughter also enjoy horseback riding.
