Please join us in welcoming Jan Lander to our Auto Adjusting team. Jan has 44 years of experience in claims adjusting, having worked for several large insurance carriers in a variety of personal and commercial claims adjusting roles. 

Jan has worked primarily in auto and homeowner’s insurance adjusting, conducting field investigations, facilitating auto damage appraisals, and evaluating casualty bodily injury and property damage cases. She is also experienced in handling cases in litigation and participating in ADR conferences. She has reinforced her experience with extensive training in policy interpretation, claims investigation and estimating methods over the course of her career. Jan comes to Colonial with a reputation of being a highly regarded adjuster and we are very excited to have her scope of knowledge and experience added to our auto division.

Jan is licensed in Maine and New Hampshire, and will be handling auto claims from our headquarters in South Portland, Maine.

Jan grew up in Maine in a small fishing village near Phippsburg where most of her family were fishermen. She enjoys spending time with her two grown children and two grandchildren, and she and her husband enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, trail walks and cross country skiing. Please join us in welcoming Jan aboard!
