Combining Fun and Fundraising at Summer Employee Appreciation Event
We value the hard work of our staff, and believe it is important for us all to relax and have some fun together once in a while! Our Headquarters affords us some great outdoor space, and this past week we enjoyed some downtime together at what has become an annual beanbag toss event. Serving as our summer Employee Appreciation Event, we took advantage of the last of Maine’s summer weather for some friendly competition during this 3rd Annual Tournament and BBQ. 
This year’s event was made more special with an employee-driven fundraising effort throughout the day for Wesley’s Way Foundation. Colonial will be making a matching company gift as well for this important cause that helps so many in need.

Colonial Supports Maine Young Agents Golf Outing
Recently, Colonial sponsored a hole at the Maine Insurance Agents Association’s Young Agent Annual Golf Tournament to support their Scholarship Fund. Supporting community and families is an essential part of our values here at Colonial, and as a family-owned business it was fitting that our CEO/President Scott Kidder was joined by his son, Jack. We are always happy to support such a great event and have the chance to get some fresh air out on the golf course during a beautiful Maine summer day!

Colonial Participates in SMCA Winter Fun Bowl
Staff members at Colonial recently participated in Southern Maine Claims Association’s 8th Annual Winter Fun Bowl. While we didn’t take home the trophy, our team had a great evening competing with other colleagues at this lighthearted bowling competition!

Summer Employee Appreciation Event
Colonial staff recently enjoyed some downtime, and good competitive fun, at our summer Employee Appreciate Event. We took advantage of the Maine summer weather in our yard outside company headquarters in South Portland with a lively beanbag toss tournament and BBQ. A big thank you to Sandra Fogg for organizing the event for us, and to Karin Francoeur’s dad for doing all the grilling! Congratulations to this year’s champions – Mike Riesbeck and Ryan Coffin!
Vermont Claims Association’s Annual Golf Outing
Colonial recently participated in the Vermont Claims Association’s annual golf outing at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain in Vermont, where Colonial sponsored the 5th Hole. Company CEO, Scott Kidder (2nd from left), and Assistant Property Supervisor, Peter Dube (far right), enjoyed playing a round of golf while catching up with clients and friends during this great event!

At Colonial, we don’t mind a little fun competition, and this year’s bowling event was no exception! Our top scoring team, comprised of adjusters Duane Fricke, Pete Dube, Scott Mitchell and Ron Boisvert are the new Champions with a two-string combined score of 910. Best Individual Performance goes to adjuster Don Jordan with a score of 138. Congratulations winners!
Employee Appreciation Event
Never missing an opportunity for some good fun, and healthy competition, our 2Q Employee Appreciation Event this year featured a lively Beanbag Toss Tournament along with some great BBQ fare. It was a perfect Maine afternoon, so we knocked off early and headed outside our new Company Headquarters to fire up the grill, share some laughs, and see whose hand-eye coordination was the best. We believe it is important to share some fun times together periodically, and let our valuable staff know how much we appreciate them. Congratulations to our champions –Doreen Hannan and Steve Burgess!

Recently, Colonial sponsored a hole at the Maine Insurance Agents Association’s Young Agent Annual Golf Tournament to support the YAC Scholarship Fund for Veteran’s Licensing. Supporting community and families is an essential part of our values here at Colonial, and as a family-owned business it was fitting that our CEO/President Scott Kidder was joined by his son, Jack. Scott was beyond proud to have his son play alongside him, “He played a great game, and I’m sure he will put his father to shame on the course one of these days soon!”
