Colonial Team Raises Money for Homeless Program

Every holiday season the Colonial Adjustment family chooses a local charity to support. We care deeply for our community and know the need is greater than ever. This past December, we raised money for a local outreach program for the homeless, Preble Street, and their #SayYes to Saving Lives campaign.

Preble Street provides accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty. They are continuously advocating for solutions to these problems. They serve individuals from every background who share the common hardship of life entering a wildly unanticipated and difficult course. Preble Steet programs not only meet urgent needs, from nutritious meals to crisis intervention, clean clothes to healthcare, showers to a permanent home, but they also create solutions to homelessness and hunger. Their recent campaign, 100 Veterans Housed, provided warm, safe housing for 100 Maine Veterans as we entered the winter months – including a Veteran who had been homeless for over 900 days, and a family with seven children.

We, as a group of individual employees, along with an added match from Colonial Adjustment, were able to donate $1,000 to this vitally important organization. Additionally, donations made during the month of December were matched by an anonymous donor – turning our donation of $1,000 into $2,000!

Many on our staff volunteer their time to do important work within their own communities, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and support of everyone who made contributions to help those who need it!
