We are welcoming back a familiar face here at Colonial! Rebecca Nickerson returns to Colonial after six years as a Property Claim Supervisor with a regional insurance carrier. She previously joined Colonial in 2008, and was a valued member of the management team for almost five years. Rebecca is a self-described “coverage review junkie”, has earned the AIS and AIC designations, and has 20 years’ experience handling residential, commercial, and CAT property losses. She is well-versed in management of property claims, handling litigated files, and all forms of coverage review and policy interpretation. She is excited to return to Colonial and resume her role on our management team.
Rebecca has worked as a property claim adjuster since 1999, first as a staff field adjuster for regional and national carriers, then in supervisory roles. She is well-versed in handling all levels of residential and commercial property losses, and has completed advanced training courses in estimating and claims management. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, and is a past president of the Southern Maine Claims Association. Rebecca holds adjuster licenses in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Rebecca lives in Freeport and enjoys gardening, spending time with her daughter and two grandchildren, and discovering new local restaurants.
Cindy brings over 20 years of adjusting experience to Colonial, previously working for insurance carriers in Southern Maine. She has handled auto claims, including bodily injury and liability, as well as all levels of property loss adjusting. She particularly enjoys the variety adjusting offers, and being on the road to meet and help a lot of different people. She will be handling both residential and commercial property claims in the Lewiston-Auburn areas, along the midcoast, and as needed throughout Colonial’s coverage areas.
She is licensed in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Cindy and her family live in Yarmouth, and enjoy doing anything outside including skiing and hiking.
Andrea joins our Property Adjusting team with over 30 years of insurance adjusting experience, having previously worked for a large national carrier. She first worked in auto liability and personal injury adjusting, then moved into property adjusting. With a very analytical mind, she particularly enjoys policy interpretation and coverage analysis, along with the variety of policies one works with in an independent adjusting firm versus a single carrier. She is a skilled estimator, and likes the creativity required to sketch plans for reporting.
Andrea is very familiar with the York County, Maine area, and is licensed in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
A Maine native, Andrea grew up in Falmouth and still resides there with her husband and two teenagers. Both her son and daughter are athletes, so the family spends a lot of time together at sporting events, as well as participating in outdoor activities. Her husband, Daniel, is on the Board of The Maine Children’s Cancer Program and is also a Rotarian, so they spend a lot of time volunteering. As a family, they volunteer regularly as “guest chefs” at the Ronald McDonald House.
