Spotlight on Staff: Jeff Lee

Jeff joined Colonial in May of 2020 with an impressive 42-year career as an independent claims adjuster, claims manager, and regional claims manager. He began adjusting just out of college with an independent adjustment firm. Shortly thereafter, he moved to a large national adjustment firm in the Boston, Massachusetts area where he served as both Claims Manager and Regional Manager. In 1997, he was promoted to Branch Manager and opened a new regional office for the company in Waterville, Maine. As a Maine native, he was delighted to return to his home state.

Jeff has extensive experience in multi-line adjusting, including high-exposure casualty claims, serious injury, and serious auto/trucking claims which have included fatality investigations. He has also worked for over 30 years with housing authorities handling liability slip and fall claims, and with state of police and fire throughout the entire state. He has also conducted litigation investigations and attended numerous mediations throughout his career. He is a member of the Northern and Southern Maine claims association. He is licensed in Maine and New Hampshire, and will be covering our Maine territory from Waterville to the northern Maine areas.

A graduate of Salem State College, Jeff played hockey throughout high school and college. He coached youth hockey in Waterville for 30 years, and played himself until he was 55. He and his wife, Maureen, have three grown sons, and they enjoy spending time with family and at their camp in Belgrade, Maine. He loves outdoor activities, and describes himself as an “avid hockey fan”, watching live hockey whenever he gets the opportunity.
