Colonial recently participated in the Vermont Claims Association’s annual golf outing at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain in Vermont, where Colonial sponsored the 5th Hole. Customer Service representative, Marianne Bois, has just celebrated her 15-year anniversary with Colonial! Marianne is a member of our front-line customer service team, and many clients know her from her exceptional telephone service and assisting our adjusters with new assignment details. We keep Marianne very busy with report preparation for our adjusters, claims and auto adjusting paperwork, and office support coverage. She says what she likes best about working at Colonial is “the team spirit of working together, and that no two days are the same.” We are grateful for team members like Marianne who keep up with the busy work environment here at Colonial. Marianne lives in Standish with her husband, Scott, and their youngest child. Our Employee Appreciate Events are on a roll!
At Colonial, we don’t mind a little fun competition, and this year’s bowling event was no exception! Our top scoring team, comprised of adjusters Duane Fricke, Pete Dube, Scott Mitchell and Ron Boisvert are the new Champions with a two-string combined score of 910. Best Individual Performance goes to adjuster Don Jordan with a score of 138. Congratulations winners!
Ron Boisvert, Celebrating 25 Years of Service
General Adjuster, Ron Boisvert, is reaching a milestone at Colonial, about to celebrate 25 years with the company. Colonial is humbled to have team members like Ron share their expertise and professional dedication for so many years.
Ron has 35 years in the industry, beginning with a large national firm before coming to Colonial in 1982. His background as an adjuster is substantial, serving in the broadest capacities as an all-lines adjuster, claims supervisor, and a mentor to new adjusters. Licensed in Maine and New Hampshire, Ron currently handles commercial and property losses. He also specializes in environmental claims and condominium losses. Because of his extensive background and expertise, Ron is a key member of Colonial’s Large Loss Team, traveling as necessary across Maine and New Hampshire.

Celebrating an Anniversary
We just celebrated the one-year anniversary in our new company headquarters, and it leaves me reflecting not only on the evolution of the company over the last year, but what a true landmark in company history this move was.
The new building gives me a great sense of pride. When my father, company founder John T. Kidder III, moved his business into our previous building in 1976 with five employees in Maine, we could hardly foresee the growth to today’s staff to 45 strong providing service throughout the three states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Our new building certainly is more than the bricks and mortar home of Colonial Adjustment. For me, this move further symbolizes the company’s progression into the second generation of the family-owned business, and brings our physical plant and the home-base for our staff to modern standards. Employee Appreciation Event
Never missing an opportunity for some good fun, and healthy competition, our 2Q Employee Appreciation Event this year featured a lively Beanbag Toss Tournament along with some great BBQ fare. It was a perfect Maine afternoon, so we knocked off early and headed outside our new Company Headquarters to fire up the grill, share some laughs, and see whose hand-eye coordination was the best. We believe it is important to share some fun times together periodically, and let our valuable staff know how much we appreciate them.
