Jon Hamm, General Adjuster
Jon started working at Colonial Adjustment in January 2010. For the past several years, he has assumed the role of practicing General Adjuster for vast northeast region of Maine, and he has continually expanded his knowledge and expertise to meet this challenge. Jon has effectively handled numerous large losses in excess of $500,000, and has handled multiple high-profile claims, and some of our largest clients have come to request Jon specifically. He has assisted in training new employees, and frequently visits agents throughout his territory to promote Colonial. Barclay Scheick, Property Adjuster
Barclay joins Colonial from a large national company, with a background as an insurance estimator for a general contractor. He has extensive experience in the construction industry, and has managed commercial properties for over 10 years. This expertise makes him a great fit for our property adjusting division. Barkley holds adjusting licenses in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Connecticut. He will be handling our central Vermont and western New Hampshire territories.

Jim is entering his 10th year in adjusting, and will be handling primarily first-party claims within our property division in the central and northern Maine territories. Some may remember Jim from his previous stint at Colonial, as he returns to Maine after several years working as an adjuster in Massachusetts. His experience includes first- and third-party property adjusting, contractor liability, trucking claims, and general liability adjusting. He is licensed in Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Jim lives in Moscow, Maine with his wife Rose of 40 years, and their chocolate Lab, Molly. They enjoy outdoor activities, and have two grown children. Jim’s name may also sound familiar
We are so pleased to announce that Karin Francoeur has been promoted to Operations Manager!
Karin has been part of the Colonial family since 2007, and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions during her career with us, most recently as the Auto Program Manager, coordinator of our adjuster assignments and schedules, and she is always on call to better serve our clients and their policyholders in times of need. Additionally, Karin serves on our Leadership Team where she plays a key management role, contributing to the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
