Colonial Family Back Together for Annual Meeting & Teambuilding
On September 14th we held our first in-person company meeting since 2019! As COVID had kept us apart as a large group for three years, our meeting theme was, “Bringing the family back together.” For us to provide our clients with the best service possible many of our adjusters work remotely so we can effectively cover the entire states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Due to this fact, our Annual Company Meeting is the primary opportunity for us to be all together as a team. In addition to celebrating our Colonial family, we reviewed market conditions, client services, and how we can remain current and continue to advance as a company. It also provided an ideal setting for our staff to participate in valuable peer to peer collaboration.

Colonial Welcomes New Senior Casualty Adjuster
Jordan Bergeron, AIC-M, CLP, AINS, AIC, WCLA, LPCS
Senior Casualty Adjuster
Jordan joins Colonial with over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, working in a variety of claims related roles. He began his career as a property and casualty adjuster with a large national insurance carrier. For the past eight years he has worked as a multi-line adjuster, as well as an Assistant Claims Manager, with a municipal risk insurance company.
His most recent work included employment law related claims. He is skilled in claims investigations and experienced in attending litigation and settlement conferences. His interest in insurance fraud investigations began during his studies at Granite State College, where he holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration. He has continued to be committed to his education and expanding his knowledge, earning numerous distinctions and certifications as an insurance professional.

Colonial Supports Wish Kids Golf Classic
On July 8th, a Colonial Adjustment team of golfers teed off for a great cause, participating in the 20th Wish Kids Golf Classic. It was a nice opportunity to have a team of some of our golf enthusiasts get out on the greens again to raise money for this important charity. Proceeds from the Wish Kids Golf Classic go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Vermont to help grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. As a family-first company, we love to support programs such as this that go directly to helping children and families.

Fireworks Safety Tips for a Happy 4th of July
Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!
In observance of the holiday, our office will be closed on Monday, July 4th. As always, our Emergency Claims Service is available 24/7 by calling 800-445-2330.
Please remember that fireworks are responsible for nearly 16,000 injuries every year, and nearly ½ of all fires reported on July 4th.
According to the National Council on Fireworks Safety, here are some tips for keeping you and your guests safe –
- Use fireworks outdoors only.
- Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks.
- Keep a bucket of water or garden hose handy in case of fire or mishap.
- Light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly.
- Never try to relight or pick up a “dud” firework that has not ignited fully.
- Never carry fireworks in a pocket.
- Never shoot fireworks off in metal or glass containers.

Colonial Team in Dynamic Dirt Challenge
This past weekend, members of our Colonial family participated in the Dynamic Dirt Challenge at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. It was a demanding 3+ mile obstacle course designed to challenge all around strength, stamina, and mental grit. This team building activity certainly helped our group discover a new level of camaraderie as we worked together to achieve a true sense of collective accomplishment, cheer one another on, and of course, have a great time and some laughs!
